Tips for Experienced Cooks

Consider using fresh mozzarella instead of pre-shredded for a creamier finish. If you have time, make your marinara sauce from scratch using fresh tomatoes, garlic, and basil. For added flavor, you can marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for a few hours before breading them.

Step 1: Prepare the chicken

Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness. Dredge the chicken in the breadcrumbs, pressing to adhere. Place the breaded chicken in a baking dish.
